This chestnut cleft ended rail is specifically designed for use with post and rail fencing. The term 'ended' refers to the shaped end of the rail that has been morticed.
 
2.9m (or 9'6") is the standard length in cleft rail fencing and will produce an approximate 2.7m long bay of fencing. These rails are slotted into mortice holes in the posts, therefore no fixings are needed.
