Our 25 x 50mm Green Treated Roof Batten 3.6m softwood batten timber is pressure treated meaning it can be used in external applications. As well as being treated our 2×1 batten is sawn and not planed. The timber is also kiln dried so all the boards will have a much lower moisture content this also ensures that the boards will be straighter and helps to improve stability.
Type A Green Treated Battens: manufactured from Side Boards. These are battens that were traditionally used for roofing.
‘TYPE A’, GREEN TREATED BATTENS HAVE MANY USES INCLUDING DRY LINING GARDEN TRELLIS AND
VARIOUS OTHER CONSTRUCTION APPLICATIONS. THEY SHOULD NOT BE USED ON ANY ROOFING
APPLICATION AND IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE END USE IS IDENTIFIED SO THE CORRECT PRODUCT IS SOLD.
